About Olive Branch Homeschool Learning Co.
Katie started Olive Branch Preschool in September of 2021 when her youngest daughter, Olive, was ready to embark on her preschool journey. Instead of focusing on home learning solely for Olive, Katie chose to open the doors to a few friends, creating a vibrant and interactive learning environment. What began as a small class of five quickly grew into a formal homeschool preschool program, expanding to include even more friends.
Over the past few years, Olive Branch Learning Co. has experienced remarkable growth and evolution. Our original program has developed into a comprehensive early childhood Farmstead Faith & Service Program, serving students from Kindergarten through 5th grade. This program blends academic instruction with hands-on farmstead activities within a Christ-centered framework, maintaining the close-knit community culture that has always been a hallmark of our approach.
In addition to our core program, we are thrilled to unveil the PEACEful Pathways initiative, a dedicated branch of Olive Branch Learning Co. designed to empower parents of children with special needs. Inspired by Katie’s own experience with her son, who has Autism and has begun his homeschool journey, PEACEful Pathways offers a supportive framework tailored to help families homeschool with confidence. This initiative provides the tools, resources, and guidance needed to create a personalized and peaceful learning environment for each child. As we continue to nurture both our Farmstead Faith & Service Program and the PEACEful Pathways initiative, we are excited about the positive impact these programs will bring to our students and their families.

At Olive Branch, our mission is to nurture a Christ-centered, inclusive community that empowers all students, including those with special needs, to take the lead in their learning and service through sustainable farmstead practices. We are dedicated to fostering a spirit of stewardship, peace, and compassion, ensuring every student has the opportunity to explore, create, and serve in ways that reflect their unique gifts and passions while deepening their faith and commitment to serving others.

We’re excited to announce that a brand-new extension of the Farmstead Faith and Service Program is currently in development and will be launching soon! This expanded curriculum will dive even deeper into farmstead skills, spiritual growth, and community service, providing fresh opportunities for students to connect with God's creation through hands-on learning. Each unit is designed to offer both practical farm experience and Christ-centered lessons, blending them into an unforgettable educational journey.

Meet MS. KATIE:
Working with children is something I have always loved and enjoyed. I knew from the time I was a young child that I wanted to be a teacher. Growing up with two dedicated teachers, learning was a vibrant and integral part of our daily lives. My parents skillfully blended educational experiences into our everyday activities, focusing not just on academics but on nurturing a deep love for exploration and discovery.
Their approach emphasized a holistic view of education, where learning was intertwined with real-life experiences and a strong sense of purpose. This philosophy has profoundly shaped my own approach to teaching, and it forms the cornerstone of my educational philosophy as a homeschool educator.
Graduating in 2014 with a degree in Early Childhood Special Education, I have since embarked on a fulfilling journey that includes marrying my best friend, raising three wonderful children, and recently pursuing our dream of owning a farm property. Our farm is not just a place for us to live but a space where we can live out our commitment to faith, service, and sustainability.
Through our Farmstead Faith & Service Program, we are excited to share our love for the outdoors and holistic learning with our homeschool community, fostering a Christ-centered environment where children can grow, serve, and explore the world in meaningful ways.
The creation of the PEACEful Pathways initiative is particularly close to my heart. Inspired by my son Finn’s journey with Autism, this program aims to empower parents of children with special needs, offering them the confidence and tools to homeschool effectively. Each of my three children has inspired different facets of our programs: my oldest son, Van, with his persistent prayers for a family farm and the resulting farmstead mindset that became our Farmstead Faith & Service Program; Finn, whose needs and experiences led to the development of the PEACEful Pathways initiative; and my daughter Olive, whose preschool program was the genesis of Olive Branch Learning Co. Her name, symbolizing “extending an olive branch” as an offering of peace, reflects how creating this program has brought immense joy and peace into my life. As we continue to grow and evolve, I am thrilled about the future and the impact these programs will have on our students and their families.
